Idanre Muslim Community in conjunction with Idanre Muslim Unity Forum (IMUF) have decorated men and women of impeccable characters and qualities who have been contributing in no small measure towards the advancement of Islam and humanity at large as leaders of various cadres of Islamic Faith in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The turbaning and decoration ceremony under the leadership of Alhaji Jimoh Olabamiji Ali, the Chief Imam of Idanre Kingdom was held at Muslim Primary School field at Odode Idanre on January 21, 2023 as important personalities from all walks of life were presented at the occasion to cheer the celebrants.
Some of the newly turbaned and decorated Imams, Baba and Iya Adini and other notable Islamic chieftaincy title-holders include Alhaji kamarudeen Adesunbo- Imam of Atosin Idanre Central Mosque, Alhaji Ibrahim Albarikah-Imam Apefon Mosque, Alhaji (Sheikh) S.A Usman -Mufashir of Idanre Kingdom, Alhaji Saheed Kehinde –Alakoso Adini of Idanre Kingdom, Alhaji Waheed Killani- Baba Adini of Idanre Kingdom, Alhaja Kumuyi Ganiyat- Alatilehin Adini of Idanre Kingdom and Alhaja Ajibola Fatimoh Alli-Alaranse Adini of Idanre Kingdom.
In his comment, the Chief Imam of Idanre Kingdom, Alhaji J.O Ali appreciated Owa of Idanre Oba Fredrick Adegunle Aroloye, Oba Gilbert Olakunle Ogunlowo, Awosunye of Atosin and High Chief Akinsowon Lisa/Regent of Alade-Idanre for their supports for Muslim Community in the local government.
He said Islam has been in existence in the community as far back as 1805 saying that they will continue to ensure peace and togetherness with other religions in the community and join hands in the development of the community in all ramifications.
While delivering his lecture at the occasion, the Imam Olowogbade Mosque, Alhaji Mustaful Abdulazeez charged Nigerians to embrace peace and unity for the purpose of development of the country in all aspects.
In the same way, he called on all those who are aspiring for the positions of leadership irrespective to their religion should endeavour to perform well as to take the nation to an enviable height.
They also used the occasion to raise prayers Nigeria, Ondo State and Idanre and the people of the community in general.
Also speaking with the journalists at the event, one of the elders of the community and Imam of Deko Mosque in Idanre charged the newly turbaned title-holders to keep on doing well in order to be better recognized here on earth and to have great rewards in heaven and also prayed for long lives and prosperity to enable them serve Almighty Allah and humanity the more.
In his comment at the occasion, the Chairman of Idanre Muslim Unity Forum, Otunba Adekunle Sebotimo congratulated the newly installed leaders of Islamic Faith in Idanre community describing them as men and women of competence that have distinguished themselves in many ways within and outside the community as true ambassadors of Muslim Community.
In his words: “It was exactly 5 years ago we turbaned and decorated some important personalities to hold very strategic positions in Islam and to continue to represent us well in all areas of life. Today also, we have found another set of leaders, people that are religious- who fast often, free from immorality and alcoholic and there is a standing rule to remove anyone of them that is found wanting in any area.
Otunba Sebotimo used the medium to advise all the newly decorated Islamic title-holders in Idanre to pursue peace with all men which he said is the hallmark of Islam.
“Qatar, being the first Muslim Country that hosts FIFA World Cup and FIFA says Qatar is the most peaceful country and where they made the highest gain, yet they didn’t sell alcoholic drinks and there was no kidnapping or any form of hooliganism that is what Islam stands for, he added.”
ALFA KAMARUDEEN ADESUNBO
(IMAM OF ATOSIN IDANRE CENTRAL MOSQUE)
The first Imam of Atosin-Idanre, in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State, Alfa Kamarudeen Adesunbo who was turbaned among many praises promised to use his wealth of experience for the growth and advancement of Islam in the area.
He said: “God gave me this opportunity to do something for the advancement of Islam in Atosin-Idanre, history has it that for the past 300 years, there was no Mosque in the community. God used our Kabiyesi Oba Gilbert Ogunlowo to provide a place for us where we used as a mosque today, he even gave us document signed by lawyer to prove his love for God it is our sincere prayer to Almighty Allah to reward him for this uncommon gesture.
“God has entrusted us with the leadership and we are praying that He will give us wisdom and the material resources to carry out our responsibilities as expected.
He used the medium to assure all his people of quality representation and to ensure development of Islam in Atosin-Idanre and its environs.
He has been described as a man of many path whose contributions to the community speaks volume. Before his present position he had served in various capacities within and outside Islamic setting and he proved his good qualities.
He is married and blessed with children.
ALHAJI IBRAHIM ALBARIKAH
(IMAM APEFON MOSQUE),
Alhaji Ibrahim Albarikah the Imam Apefon Central Mosque who was turbaned amid numerous people promised to use the new position to uplift Islam, to correct the error of the people as well as being a light to various families in the community.
He pointed out that he is doing Islam to have reward(s) in this life and in the life hereafter stressing that it is in line with the directives of Almighty Allah.
Alhaji Ibrahim Albarikah called on the people of the community to use their good positions for the good of all and sundry saying that every good work will be gainfully rewarded by God.
He pointed people should endeavour to help one another for even distributions wealth and as a way to reduce pressure in the society and that they should endeavour to shun all forms of evil.
Also speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, Otun-Iya Adini Idanre, Rainat Ibrahim Albarikah who was full of joy over the installation of her husband said that she will continue to support him towards the spread of Islam in their domain.
She also used the medium to charge all Muslim faithful to support one another in love for the purpose of peaceful co-existence.
Alhaji Ibrahim Albarikah has been a lover of people and a consistent worshiper and who made contributions to his host community.

ALHAJI (SHEIKH) SUAIB ABAYOMI USMAN
(MUFASIR OF IDANRE KINGDOM)
“Today is a day of joy for me and my entire household as I am being turbaned as Mufasir of Idanre kingdom. This is a great honour and it will motivate me to do more for the good of my people and Islam in Idanre.
“This leadership position calls for more prayer and dedication to ensure the success of our community and the people because we are called to stand in gap others.
He also promised to keep doing and even more than what he did to earn him such a great honour among the Muslim community in Idanre Kingdom and charged other to emulate virtuous life which he said has better rewards before God.
Alhaji Usman also used the medium to call on his numerous followers and entire members of Muslim community in Idanre be readily depend on God in all their day to day activities for the purpose of receiving help from Him at all times stressing that its only God that can help humanity to achieve a desired success in life.
Alhaji Usman was born in 1956 in Ejuku (Yagba East Local Government, Kogi State. Based on his rich background in islam he was trained under Chief Imam Musa Olorunkemi where he had the divine call and proceeded to Islam Quranic School at Ayegunlegbede and graduated in 1966.
He is a successful business man and is holding many leadership positions within and outside Ondo State. He is married and blessed with children.
ALHAJI SAHEED KEHINDE
(ALAKOSO ADINI OF IDANRE KINGDOM),
The newly installed Alakoso Adini of Idanre, Alhaji Saheed Kehinde has promised to use his good office to galvanize development of Islam in the area.
While thanking all those who came to honour him and the leadership of Muslim community in Idanre he charged the people in the same way to continue to use all their resources and time to advance the course of God and humanity.
Alhaji Saheed Kehinde was born to the family of Alhaji Sakariyatu Imam in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State over 50 years ago, after his education in his native land, he ventured into business which brought him to Idanre in Ondo state over 26years ago and he has been a tenacious worshiper of Allah.
Alhaji kehinde has been contributing in no small measure to the development of Islam which he promised to continue to do in a greater proportion now that he has been turbaned as ALAKOSO ADINI OF IDANRE.
He is married and blessed with children.
He also used the medium to pray extensively for Nigeria and all the people of the country to have a peaceful and prosperous new year ahead.
ALHAJI WAHEED KILANI
(BABA ADINI OF IDANRE KINGDOM)
While speaking with journalists, the newly decorated Baba Adini of Idanre, Alhaji wheed Kilani used to occasion the appreciate Almighty Allah for the success of his installation which he said has been the reward of his contributions towards Islam in Idanre.
He therefore appreciated all the community and religious leaders in Idanre Local Government and beyond for their supports for him, and called on other to emulate such large heart of building the people instead of pulling down their fellow human beings.
Alhaji Kilani who was born to the family of Alhaji Kilani Lerin at Ikire Irewole Local Government Area where he had his primary school education at Holy Cross Primary School, Popo-Ikire in 1977 and completed his primary school Education in 1981.
He proceeded to St. John Anglican Grammar School, Ikire for his Secondary School Education and came out in flying colours after which, he was trained as Automobile Mechanical Engineer and came to Idanre to establish his own company.
He also ventured into timer business where he became a household name among the members of Timber Trader Association. He is married and blessed with children
In his comment, one of his children, Waheed Omobamidele said: “ I will like to use this opportunity to congratulate my dad for this great honour bestowed on him as Baba Adini of Idanre and I thanked all those who came from far and near to celebrate with us.
In her comment, Mrs. Kafayat Waheed appreciated God for her husband for making him a good ambassador of their family and Muslim community at large saying that they will continue in the same trend.
ALHAJA KUMUYI GANIYAT
(ALATILEHIN ADINI OF IDANRE KINGDOM)
Alhaja Ganiyat who has been a very active woman among the members of Muslim Community in Idanre Local Government was decorated as a Pillar of support for work of Allah in the community.
While speaking with journalists at the occasion she said he will not relent in her efforts at making women more actively involved in worship of God stressing that she was noted for her drive of women into service and was honoured for it.
She also used the opportunity to thank all those who came from far and near to celebrate with her and her family.
Alhaja Ganiyat also appealed to women in the community to endeavour to keep their faith alive and work harder for the growth of Islam in Idanre and anywhere they found themselves.
She had received many honours and awards in recognition of her efforts.
She has been an industrious woman who made her mark in many areas and she is married and blessed with children.
ALHAJA (PRNCESS) AJIBOLA FATIMOH ALLI
(Alaranse Adini of Idanre Kingdom)
Princess Fatimoh Alli who was full of appreciation to God and the leadership of Muslim Community in Idanre said her new position will further encourage her to keep making useful contributions towards the good of humanity through the Islam.
In her words: “I am using this medium to thank my husband for always encouraging me to be actively participating in religious activities.
“I also have the honour to thank entire Muslim Community and Unity Forum for counting me worthy for this great honour.
In his comment, the Grand Patron of FOWAN in Idanre, Alhaji Adetuyi Raheem Alli: “I appreciate the leadership of Muslim Community under the leadership of our Chief Imam Alhaji Jimoh Ali for this honour bestowed on my wife as Alaranse Adini of Idanre.
“This is a charge to all our men and women out there that they should strive hard to make their contributions towards advancement of Islam for them to be able to enjoy whenever they appear before the almighty God.
Princess Ajibola Fatimoh Alli was born about 53 years ago to the family of Abdul Hammed Isola Adebisi at Isedo, in Ila-Orangun, Osun State. She had Primary School Education at St. John School, Iloro Ilesha in 1976 and later she attended Babalila Memorial Girls School, Ilesha.
She ventured into business and she became a great woman. She is married to Alhaji Raheem Alli of Idanre origin.
