The Principal of Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School, Akure, Amb. (Mrs.) Omobola Temitope Ojoge has commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over his invaluable contributions towards educational advancement of Ondo State.
Mrs. Ojoge made this known while speaking with Journalists in his office in an interview on her agenda set for the new year as school resumed for academic activities this term.
In her words: “We appreciate the name of God for grand entry into the New Near 2023. Today being the first day of resumption, as usual have had meetings and advise both teachers and students on the need to do better this year.
“Now our students are ready for Principal’s Test and on Thursday academic work will commence in earnest and will continue to ensure excellent performance of our students in this new term.
She pointed out that the school has plan to have Inter-House Sport Competition at the middle of the year to enable involvement of the set SSS 3 students of school before they finally pass out.
According to her: “Obedient is the key to success. Like we told our students on assembly this morning they should be ready to put in their best this year and must be ready to obey instructions.”
Mrs. Ojoge also used the medium to appreciate the commitment of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu towards educational advancement of the state.
“I have the honour to use this opportunity to thank Mr. Governor, a lover of youths, lover of students and lover of education for doing so much for Ondo State students, it is my prayer that God will bless him and prosper the work of his hands.
While commenting on elongation of teachers’ service year, Mrs. Ojoge said it will doubtless enhance proficiency of learning and teaching processes saying that experience counts in educational advancement of any nation.
“Thank God we have experienced teachers here in our school. Let me use this occasion to call on all teachers to reciprocate the gesture of our amiable Governor.
Also speaking with the Democrat News Magazine, the Head Girl and Social Prefect of the School, Miss. Oluwafunmi Arogbonlo and Miss. Oluwafunmilayo Orojo noted that the students of the school are ready for serious academic term and fully prepared to meet their goals for the year.
They promised to toe the path created by the leadership of the school since creation.
They used the medium to advise co-students to be good ambassadors of Fiwasaye Grammar School and to build on legacies of the Old Students of the great citadel of learning. Saying that the students should desist from anything that can bring good name of the school to disrepute.
