It was a day of varieties for the youths, teenagers and children of Zone E Oba Afunbiowo Housing Estate, Akure as leadership of the community celebrated end of the year 2022 in special way.
The carnival took place in the community on Friday 30th of December 2022 as important personalities within and out the community converged to add glamour to the celebration.
Some of the highlights of the programme include career talks on various professions like law, nursing, teaching, engineering, medicine and a host of others. The youths of the community also had debate, quiz competition, talent show and Christmas songs.
While speaking at the occasion, a medical Doctor who charged the parents to always pay quality attention to their children with the view to guiding them on right choice of future careers.
In the same way, he called on the youths and teenagers at the occasion to embrace hard work and dedication towards realization of their future careers.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman Organizing Committee of the event, Mr. Funso Adebayo used the medium to appreciate God and the leadership of the community for the confidence reposed in him to chair the planning of the occasion.
Mr. Adebayo pointed the occasion was put together to cater for the spiritual, academic and social needs of the children of the community.
He also used the medium to task them on community development stressing that participation in Community Social Responsibility should be the priority of all and sundry.
Gifts were presented to various categories of youths and children that participated in the programme.
