A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State and former aspirant of House of Representatives, Barr. Silvester Olumuyiwa Adu has put smiles on the faces of people across the State as they celebrated 2022 end of the year.
While speaking with the Democrat News Magazine in Akure recently, Barr. Adu noted that he has been helping the needy in the society based on the command of God he had received in the past years.
Adu who has been showing commitment and passion towards alleviating the suffering of the people regardless their colours and tribes distributed over six hundred bags of rice, vegetable oil and other condiments for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
In his words: “I had covenant with God to cover the nakedness of the people, since I have been doing this my story never be the same. I derive pleasure in doing the will of God.
“I have said this at different fora, that I am doing what I am doing not because I am richer than my contemporary, but I am simply obeying God’s instructions.
“I promised God that certain percentage of my income will be for the help of the downtrodden in the society. I am doing all these not because of politics.”
He also used the medium to call on all who are well to do in the society to remember the less privileged and whatever they do for the poor it is unto God and that God will reward them in due course.
The categories of the people that benefited from his kind gestures include members of different political parties, leaders of PDP, Community leaders, members of professional bodies and the street beggars.
Some of the members of the group that have been enjoying the dividends of Barr. Adu’s caring heart, prayed for grace of God upon his life and family.
One of them, Mrs. Esther Obabiolorunkosi who was full of appreciation to God for allowing her to know Barr. Adu said her life and that of her family had changed drastically and that God used Adu to wipe her tears and that of her family.
