The Carpenter Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter has inaugurated a new set of leaders that will drive the development of the association and its members for the next four years.
The inauguration ceremony that commanded attentions of high and mighty within and outside political setting of Ondo State was held at Woth Garden, Opp. Dijavu Hotel, Alagbaka, Akure on Thursday November 17, 2022.
Some of the newly sworn-in executive members include: Comrade Falodun Idowu- State Chairman (Akure 3), Comrade Olorunloba Folajimi Richard- State Deputy Chairman1 (Akoko South West), Comrade Iyiola Taofeek- State Deputy Chairman 2 (Akure 2), Comrade Akinsanmi Richard-State General Secretary (Ondo West), Comrade Olaniya Kehinde- State Ass. Secretary (Ore/Odigbo), comrade Adeleke Ademola-State Treasurer (Akure 3) and Comrade Okikiola Ajinde Fesus- State Fin Sec. (Ose).
Others are: Comrade Akindele Opetola- State Asst Fin Sec (Akure 3), Comrade Enieyiwu Babatunde- State Internal Auditor (Akoko North East), Comrade Adesanmi Dare- State Police 1 (Ondo West) Comrade Olomolatan Ilesanmi-State Police 2 (Irele), comrade Ahmed Asizi- State PRO 1 (Akoko North East), Comrade Nwachukwu Eze-State Ex-Officio (Ore/Odigbo and Comrade Ebenezer Sunday-State.
The members of Board of Trustee (BOT) are: Comr. Kunle Kolawole- Chairman, Comr. Ebenezer Adebanji- Secretary, Comr. Sunday Adegunleyin- Treasurer, Comr.Akinyemi Omolafe-PRO 1, Comr.Basorun Segun-PRO 2, Comr. Femi James, Comr. Sunday Madamilori, Comr. Gabriel Abiloro, Comr. Ganiyu Ibrahim, Comr.Mustafa Abdulsalam, Comr. Joseph Sunday Ajila, Comr. Oluwadare Olusola, Comr. Jolly Inujo- Members.
Others are Comr. Enoch Aladesanmi, Comr. Adeboyeku Bola, Comr. Amhed Godwin, Comr. Alfa Ododo, Comr. Olayemi Alade and Comr. John Ajayi.
In his acceptance speech the new State Chairman of the Association, Comrade Falodun Idowu, thanked God for making the day a reality saying that although the association went through hard times but they were able to come out strong.
He therefore noted that the leadership of the association is set to build on the solid foundation and successes bequeathed to him by his predecessor.
Falodun also used the medium to call on government and well meaning people of Ondo State to support the association to enable them achieve their agenda for the new administration.
Falodun said that his leadership will pay quality attention on the welfare of members as well as leveraging on the available windows of opportunities to advance the course of their members.
In the same way, he called for cooperation and support among members saying that the expected desires of the members can only be achieved if they are united in purpose.
Earlier in his welcome address, the immediate past Chairman, Comrade John Kuti narrated how the association went through ups and downs before its present state of peace.
He also used the occasion to thank God and all those who stood behind them during their hard times in the last seven years.
Kuti charged the new leaders of the association to invest their talents and resources towards the advancement of the association in all ramifications.
In her Goodwill Message, Chief (Mrs.) Olawoye Adenike Aserere who was represented at the occasion called for honesty and dedication among members of the association which she said is the hallmark of any business that will thrive.
Also speaking former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kenneth Olawale and Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi (TUKANA) who was represented by Hon. Mese Julius congratulated the leadership of the association for the success of the occasion.
In the same way, they charged the leadership of the association to be orderly and to ensure that they carry all their members along saying that the government of Ondo State is ready to patronize them.
In their comments at the event, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde who was represented by Mrs. Kolawole, President of Ondo State Artisan Group, Comrade Daisi Komolafe and Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye who sent warm congratulations to the members of the association and charged them at the same time to be well positioned for avalanche of opportunities available for them in the state.
While having a chat with the journalists the Chairman of BOT Comrade Kunle Kolawole charged the new Executive Members to be transparent in the discharge of their duties and called on all members to support them to be able to achieve good success.
Also speaking with journalists, Comrade Kayode Ibrahim, the immediate past Publicity Secretary thanked God for the success of the association in the last seven years.
Comrade Ibrahim noted the association faced many challenges but were surmounted by the special grace of God and called for oneness of their members for the purpose of unprecedented success.
As part of the highlight of the event was presentation of certificate of stewardship to all the immediate past executive members of the association which include Comr. John Kuti- Chairman, Comr. Akinola Abiodun, Deputy Chairman 1, Comr. Idowu Falodun- Deputy Chairman 2, Comr. Dare Oguntoyinbo-General Secretary, Comr. Tunde Orilogbon- Asst Secretary, Comr. Agbogun Omoniyi-Fin Sec, Comr. Adeleke Ademola- Treasurer, Comr. Kayode Ibrahim- Publicity Secretary, Comr. (Late) Felix Agbede- PRO, Comr. Dare Adesanmi- Police 1, Comr. Azeez Ahmed- Police 2 and Comr. Okikiola Festus- Auditor.
