GLAMOUR AS FIWASAYE GRAMMAR SCHOOL HOLDS 2022 WALK-IN CEREMONY

It was a memorable day for the newly admitted students of Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School, Akure on Thursday November 3, 2022, as management of the school received them officially in line with the tradition of the great citadel of learning.

The 2022 walk-in ceremony that was held within the school premises commanded attention of stakeholders in the sector who came to cheer up and to educate the new students on the tenet of the school.

In her comment, the School Principal, Amb. (Mrs.) Omobola Temitope Ojoge welcomed the new students officially and charged them to be good ambassadors of the school in all ramifications.

She noted that Fiwasaye Grammar School is known for excellence, dedication and consistent life of Godly virtues as instituted by Miss. Pelly, the Foundation Principal of the School.

“Miss Pelly who was the First Principal this school made a lot of sacrifices towards the development of education of girls in this part of the world.

“As we can see today the school has produced great women that are doing well in their various field of endeavours and are contributing in no small measure towards the development of our country and beyond.

Ojoge whose tenure of office has witnessed unprecedented advancement also used the occasion to charge the students to be dedicated to their studies and that they should be ready to abide
by the rules and regulations guiding their studentship in the school.

 

The Chairman of Parents Teachers’ Association (PTA), of the school, Pastor Adewumi called on the new students to always show sense of responsibility and be disciplined as they started secondary education on a very good note.

While addressing the students, the Vice Principal, in charge of Junior School, Mrs. Fabode pointed out that the students must not allow anything to distract their attention and that they should be diligent.

In the same way, she called on teachers and the staffers of the school to see the new students as their biological children and to teach them as such.

Cultural displays, dance and choreography were also featured to add glamour to the event.

Some of the new students who spoke in an interview with journalists thanked God for making their dreams a reality their choice of Fiwasaye and made known their readiness to work hard and be good
ambassadors of the school.

The ceremony reached its climax as Ven. Nelson Fadoju prayed for the new students and commend them to God who His able to see them through their academic journey in life.
