The Proprietor and Cheif Executive Officer of Fresh Prince Group, Alhaji Saliu Adekunle has been honoured for his numerous contributions towards the advancement of economy of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
Fresh Prince Group is a conglomerate of businesses; that are into printing, hospitality, real estate and agriculture.
Alhaji Adekunle was among the prominent Nigerians that were honoured by Ondo State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ONDOCCIMA) during the inauguration of the new leaders of the chamber on September 8, 2022 at Dejavu Hotel, Alagbaka, Akure.
Speaking with the Democrat News Magazine and other journalists shortly after receiving insignia of award, Alhaji Saliu Adekunle expressed his heartfelt joy for the award he described as one of the best honours in the recent time and that it will be treasured a great deal.
In his words: “I have received many awards, some of which I cherish, some I took seriously and some I didn’t. But this award will linger on forever in my memory.
“I was busy doing my part towards the development of economy. We are presently working on cassava processing factory at Afin-Akoko
We are synergizing with other relevant organizations to take our youths out of the streets for gainful employment.”
Alhaji Adekunle used the opportunity to appreciate the leadership of the chambers for his nomination and honour saying that he would not relent in making the state great through business and employment.
Other wardees include the wife of the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mojisola Adetutu Aribo among others.
While speaking earlier, the new president of ONDOCCIMA, Hon. Olumide Araoyinbo pointed out that the organization decided to honour those who are contributing to the development of commerce in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
In the same way, he commended Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his efforts on the development of economy of the state.
