One of the best administrators and intelligent Local Government Administrator in Ondo State, Asiwaju ‘Wole Ademoyegun, Esq, has bowed out after 35 years of service without blemish.
Ademoyegun bowed out of the Local Service as Head of Local Government Administrator after successful completion of his 35 years in service as required by law on September 1, 2022.
Ademoyegun, in a press release made available to the Democrat News Magazine, was full of appreciation to God for His sustaining grace in the last 35 years he has been in the Local Government Service of Ondo State.
“Ecclesiastes 3 captured it all. This is definitely a time for me to mandatorily retire from the Local Government Service of the Public Service of Ondo State. Ordinarily, going by the records the mandatory date ought to be 8th September, 2022 but the Local Government Service Commission in its wisdom decided to compulsorily cut a week by making it 1st of September, 2022.
“There is however divine reason for everything, hence I raised no issue on the decision.
“I am using this medium to thank the God almighty for protecting my life till date. I went through serious illness particularly in the last one year of my service, but God ensured the protection of my life. I saw death, it was graciously averted by God. I am leaving the service still recuperating from the illness. However, I say to God be the glory.
“I am pleading with my numerous admirers and friends that I have decided to leave the service quietly for the following reasons: I am not a sociable being as I do not believe in most of the social activities we embark upon for personal reasons. I rarely attend social functions.
“I am arguably an introvert, though many may want to contest this fact.
I see it as unnecessary wasting of resources – money, time, and even knowledge.
I do not want to expose people to risk of life by travelling to far distance for what looks like a jamboree that will end up bringing anybody no good.
I am not putting down my pen as I pray that my pen shall continue to work for some years to come. I reserve the determination of when to drop my pen to God almighty.
I am convinced that my coming into the public service was not celebrated hence my exit equally should not be celebrated too,” the statement reads in part.
He also pointed out that: “I am still available if God wishes to still contribute my quota in the public service of Ondo State and even Nigeria. This does not foreclose global service if it pleases God.
“I want to say all I outlined above are highly personal to me. So people with different opinions should please take no offence.
“I once again appreciate all that made purposeful impact in my 35 years of service. Those with negative impact too are appreciated for they made me wiser in the 35 years journey.
‘Wole Ademoyegun, a lawyer with many qualities will be going into full term practise of law.
“This ends a chapter in my life. Another chapter opens immediately as I move into private service practically.
