The Primaries of Ondo North Senatorial District of Progressives Congress, APC has been concluded as Mr. Jide Ipinsagba emerged as the flag bearer of the party having defeated three other contenders.
The party primaries was held at Aruwajoye Civic Centre in Owo on Saturday 28th of May 2022.
360 delegates from all the six local government areas that made up of Ondo North Senatorial District voted at the Primaries.
After accreditation of delegates they were allowed to cast their votes under a very tight security.
After the process: Admiral Samuel Alade polled 7 votes, Alex Ajipe had 57 votes, Otolorin Elegbeleye scored 14 votes and Jide Ipinsagba won the election with 268 votes .
They recorded seven invalid votes.
Speaking with journalists ealier, one of the leaders of the Party from Akoko, Mrs. Alaba Ajonibode said the process was transparent and that the members of the party spoke with their votes.
She used the medium to call on all them to work for the success of the party at the general elections.
In the same way, Hon. Femi Kure commended the process of the Primaries and urged all and sundry and work for the victory of APC.
Kure who was a former Education Secretary of Ose Local Government Area made known the readiness of APC to rule at upper chamber of National Assembly.
After the election, Ipinsagba expressed satisfaction in the process and declared it as victory for all.
