The Principal of CAC Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Mercy Adetimehin has been honoured with prestigious award of Pillar of Education in Nigeria by African Education Monitor.
Mrs. Adetimehin and some other principal of were honoured recently at Ondo State Cultural Centre, Adegbemile, Akure for their immense contributions towards education development of Nigeria.
In a chat with journalists Mrs. Mercy Adetimehin described the award as a welcome development which is capable of encouraging them to do more for the development of the existing body of knowledge.
She also commended the leadership of African Education Monitor for taken their time to profile all the principals that have been contributing to the education sector of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
Other award recipients that spoke with the Democrat News Magazine include, the Principal of St. Patrick College, Iwaro-Oka, Mrs. Olaniyan Esther Iyabo, Principal Omolorogbo Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Mopelola Abike Adenikinju, Principal Anglican Grammar School, Itaogbolu, Mrs. Modupe Dolapo Omotoba and a host of others.
