The newly installed Olu of Kasemola Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, Prof. Ebenezer Ibukun Arifalo has promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear in facilitating rapid development to his community.
Prof. Arifalo made this known while speaking with the Democrat News Magazine and other journalists during the celebration of his enthronement as the new Olu of Kasemola community on Tuesday March 8, 2022.
In his words: “Today is a day the Lord has made; we shall rejoice and be glad in it. I thank God for making today a reality. God in His benevolence has ordained it since the beginning of the world.
“Truly, I have served Nigeria and I have traversed different nations of the world. One thing is sure, nobody is bigger than his community, I am back home to serve my community that is more reason I accepted to be Olu of Kasemola.
“My primary agenda for this community is development. I am set to ensure that I use all my God given talents and ability to galvanize the development of Kasemola to see that this community is known across the nations of the world, by the special grace of God.
“I accepted to be Olu of Kasemola the III just because I want tremendous development of this community and its people, so that we can become good reference point to many others.
He therefore charged the members of the community at all levels to join hands with him to move Kasemola higher than its present state.
In her comment, Olori Ade Arifalo expressed her heartfelt joy concerning the celebration and thanked God for fulfilling His good promises in the family of Prof. Arifalo against all odds.
While calling for the support of the people of the community, Olori Ade Arifalo said that her husband has many developmental agenda for the community and that all hands must be on deck to bring it to pass.
She therefore called on relevant authorities within and outside the community to donate Health Centre for the benefit all the pregnant women in the area as well building of market stalls.
According to her, “In our community here we need many social amenities like, Borehole for water supply, filling stations and asphalt road for easy access”.
Also speaking with journalists, the Yeye Oba Kasemola, Chief (Mrs.) Sanusi Kasemola 1, was full of appreciation to God for allowing them to witness the celebration despite their various challenges.
She said: “It is my prayer that God will give him long life and prosperity as well as wisdom to direct the affairs of his community for monumental development during his time. Through him the fame of the community will spread abroad.
In his comment, the Odopetu of Kasemola, Chief Michael Bosede Osabiyi described the celebration as the dawning of a new era in Kasemola Community as new Olu ascends the throne of leadership.
He described professor Arifalo as a man of many impacts that has served in different capacities all within and outside the country saying that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in transforming the community.
His words: “Today is the grand finale of what we have started on 1st of March, 2022 and after the necessaries rites we are celebrating the enthronement of our leader here today. He has bule print of what to do in 100 days in office and so on, by the grace of God we shall make it public when it is time.
“I am using this opportunity to call on all our sons and daughters both within the community and outside to join hands to ensure the success of all the lofty agenda for Kasemola community.
Olisa of Eleyowo, Chief Esho Ojo Olojugba said: “I am very happy to be here today, and I wish to congratulate the newly installed Olu of Kasemola, Prof. Ibukun Arifalo and we give glory to God for witnessing the occasion.
“In the same way, I will like to advise the people of this community to cooperate their leader and the Olu should cooperate with the community and move closer to God who is able to help them through.
Also in her good will message, Yeye Atayese of Odigbo Kingdom and Erelu of Ileyo kingdom in Akure North, Chief (Mrs.) Dupe Osunha congratulated Prof. Ibukun Arifalo for the success of his installation.
She used the occasion to sue for unity and peace that will foster the needed development and also prayed for good health and unabated development of the community.
