The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ondo State, Comrade Victor Amoko who has just been appointed as a member of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has promised to give quality representation to teachers.
Comrade Amoko made this known while having a chat with Journalists shortly after his inauguration at Cocoa Conference Hall of the Government House on Monday 24th of January, 2022.
Amoko commended Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his appointment which he described as a watershed in the life of Ondo NUT saying that it will facilitate drastic development of his union.
In his words “Mr. Governor said it in his speech, that Comrade Amoko is the only one who is not a politician among all the appointees on the board. This is to let you know that my primary objective is to represent my people and I am ready to do that effectively.
He pointed out that many are the challenges of teachers in Ondo State but Arakunrin Akeredolu has been giving them prompt attention because of his love for the education sector.
Amoko commended the last recruitment of teachers into various primary schools in Ondo State and the intention of Mr. Governor to employ more teachers this year.
He said that it would go a long way to savour our education sector in Ondo State and make the state occupy her pride of place among the comity of state in Nigeria as far as education is concerned.
