One of the leading aspirants vying for Akure South/ North federal constituency at the lower chambers of the National Assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP), Hon. Babatunde Faro has expressed optimism over getting the party ticket and win the election.
Hon. Faro who commended the leadership of the party for their fairness and for allowing transparent processes that would lead to emergence of peoples’ choice.
He made this known while speaking with journalists at PDP’s secretariat, Alagbaka, Akure recently saying that he has gone round all the political wards in the Akure North and South in preparation for February election.
In his words: “We are looking at the electoral map and we will keep it simple and low key. It is the delegates that will decide for themselves, at this time Akure needs a good representation, someone that can advance the course of our development.
Hon. Faro urged the people of Akure North and South not to be deceived saying that PDP is set to redeemed all the lost glory through him.
Sequel to his death last year, Hon. Adedayo Omolafe’s seat at the green chamber of National Assembly under the leadership Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila declared was vacant; which gives opportunity to all party to contest for the position.
