RTEAN Boss Tasks Government On Maintenance Of Federal  Roads

 

Chairman of Ondo State Road Transporter Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) and Deputy Chairman South West, Mr. Adewale Bolarinwa has called on governments at all levels to maintain roads for the purpose of durability of vehicles plying Nigeria roads.

Mr. Bolarinwa made the call while speaking with The Democrat News Magazine in his office in Akure recently saying that drivers are faced with untold hardship due to bad condition of our roads in the country.

He said: “Let me use this opportunity to appreciate Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his efforts towards road infrastructure in Ondo State. Akeredolu really performed well on road construction.

“The Federal Government roads are nothing to write home about and this is the major challenge we are facing. Our vehicles can easily develop fault because of bad roads.

“And to worsen the situation today many parts of the vehicles sold in the market are fakes, if we use it within short period of time it will break down.

He pointed out accidents are common on the road because of the fake parts sold to drivers he therefore called for checks of inferior parts in the society for the purpose of safety of life.

Mr. Bolarinwa pointed out that it is the duty of local government to maintain motor parks saying that these days it has become the duty of individuals.

While reacting to the award bestowed on him last year, RTEAN chairman said the numerous achievements of the association under his leadership was noticed and appreciated by some media men and they decided to honour him.

He also promised to do more for the purpose of better life of his members and the state in general.

In the same way, he called on all the members of RTEAN to keep following the path of righteousness they are known for stressing their members are well trained and behave as such in private and public places.

He also used the medium to call on government to cater more for the welfare of the members of RTEAN in Ondo State.

RTEAN boss called on the passengers to board vehicle in their various parks across the country which he said is more saver and better than taking vehicle whose identity is not known.
