The Principal of CAC Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Mercy Oluwapelumi Adetimehin has debunked the allegation making in a local media in Ondo State the her school is collecting N1500 to promote students.
Mrs. Adetimehin while having a chat The Democrat News Magazine in her office on Wednesday said the allegation was burn out vendetta.
According to her, “We are not collecting any money for promotion after all, this is just the resumption of second term and we are not doing any promotion now, not to talk of collecting money for promotion.
“Let me tell you, what they said about our school is a lie from the pit of hell. Even the official school fees they paid to bank, that is those who have not paid last year.
“In our meeting at Aquinas, Commissioner for Education, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Director and the principals were all in attendance when approval was given to schools to collect just N2,800 from SS3 students. Practical fee N1000, admin charges N1000 and N800 for online/offline registration.
She used the opportunity to appreciate Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the payment of WAEC for all SS3 students in Ondo State.
On the policy of government that Vice Principals should go back to classes, she said they are ready to follow saying that although is challenging because of the administrative responsibilities they are saddled with.
As regards Covid-19 Protocol she said the school under her management ensure strict adherence to the rules and regulations guiding it saying that the virus is still very much around.
She pointed out that regular washing of hands with soap, use of sanitizer; face mask and use of infrared thermometer to test temperature are being adhered to faithfully.
Mrs. Adetimehin used the medium to charge all the students to put in their best as to come out in flying colours in their academic pursuit.
In the same way, charged them to desist from lying to their parents and collect money they did not ask them to pay in the school.
