…Our Party Remains Hope Of Poor Masses In Nigeria-Leaders
The leadership of Peoples Democratic Party has received hundreds of members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Action Democratic Party (ADP) into its fold as preparations are on high gear towards 2023 general election in the state.
The reception of the new party members took place at the party secretariat on Tuesday 30th of November 2021 as members and leaders of the party came from 18 Local Government.
While passing his comment, the South West Leader of the Party and Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Seyi Makinde assured all the decampees of fair play in PDP.
Makinde who was represented by former PDP governorship candidate in Ondo State Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) received them severally into the party and presented membership cards to some of their leaders
Welcoming the decampees, the Chairman of Ondo State PDP Alh. Fatai Adams expressed joy on how people are coming into his party in large numbers.
“People are coming to PDP because they are tired of leadership of APC in Nigeria, today every Nigerian is in debt because of the bad leadership that always borrow.
“In Ondo State today the children of farmers cannot go to university because of high tuition fees, students of UNIMED are now paying almost N2 million per section.
“We need to vote for PDP if you want security, job opportunity and better education. I am using this medium to welcome you all into PDP no founder no joiners we are all equal.
Chief (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Edu, former Chairman of Ondo State Scholarship Board has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the only hope of the poor masses of Nigeria.
Mrs. Edu made the assertion while speaking with journalists in Akure during the official deflection of some APC and ADP members to PDP.
She noted that Nigeria under the leadership APC had suffer and still suffering untold hardship calling for urgent secure mission before it’s too late.
“We thank God that people are coming back to PDP, things are upside down in Nigeria, education sector is in shamble. The government is borrowing money every day and killings has not stopped and people are being frustrated.
“We have prayed serious about this country and we believe that things will change by the special grace of God.
Hon. Folusho Mayowa Adeferami from Akoko South West who led all the former members ADP and APC to PDP said many of the party leaders have been coming to him for some years and pressed him on the need to come and add value to the party in Ondo State.
He said that he brought all his followers to come and join PDP without any reservation and that they will all work hard to ensure emergence of PDP at all levels come 2023.
Also speaking with journalists, former State Chairman Action Democratic Party, (ADP), Alh. Sule Oderinde said he decided to return to PDP to add value to the party and help in rescuing Nigeria from the grip of APC.
“I will work for the party to win 2023 election in Ondo State and I pray that God will help us.
In the same way, Dr. Niyi Solomon from ward 9, Akoko North West and former aspirant under the platform of APC said PDP has constitution and better structure that can help all Nigerians achieve their vision. This he said was the reason he joined the party.
