OLOWOOKERE PROMISES TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT TO GAGA COMMUNITY

The President of Caretaker Committee of Gaga Development Forum, Elder Olowookere Mathew Oluwadunsin has promised to use his tenure to advance the course of development in the community.

Olowookere has held many committees and functioned in many other community leadership capacity said he was ready to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the development of gaga community.

Olowookere While speaking with journalists in Akure last week, said he and his committee members have set the ball rolling to ensure that the community become the cynosure of all eyes under the supervision of Asewi of Gaga, Chief Olu Omotosho.

In his words: “We thanked God for the developments that had taken place in this community and we appreciate the contributions of Community Leader Asewi of Gaga, Chief Oluwole Omotosho and we use this medium to pray that God will continue to lift him up.

“When I came on board as the Caretaker President of Gaga Development Forum, we have three different zones, but now it has become four they are Gaga-Olomoyiye, Gaga-Familusi, Gaga-Aro and Gaga-Abiodun.

As part of our efforts we went to the commissioner of works, Permanent Secretary and Directors of the Ministry as regard the level of road projects and we were made to understand very soon the work will be done because Government is not owing the contractor.

“In our community we are over 25, 000 people and we use our population strength to support Governor Akeredolu and his people during last election in the state.

In the same way, he used to medium to call on relevant stakeholders to as a matter of importance support the community with functional Borehole to enable residents have access to potable water as dry season is approaching.

The President also appreciated philanthropic gestures of some individuals and religious body towards the growth of the community stressing that posterity will not forget their positive contributions.
