*SECURITY CONCERNS*
I observed with dismay that the Military men along Ogbese-Owo-Oba have disembarked from the various checkpoints and checkpoints dismantled!
We will recall that the routes mentioned above were hotspots for kidnappers before those checkpoints were introduced and since the commencement and relocation of checkpoints, all activities of these evil men have been reduced to the barest minimum.
I therefore use this medium to call the attention of the Security Chiefs in Ondo state to this ugly development. I believe that as we approach the festive period when traffic on those routes would be on the rise, the security of lives and properties of travellers should be a major concern and should be beefed up rather than disembarked.
If these checkpoints are not immediately restored, kidnappers may take advantage of the situation to begin their evil operations.
I also call on the attention of our Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu to this recent development, to step in and call the security Chiefs to order.
