APPA GETS NEW LEADERS AS ADENUGA CALLS FOR GOVERNMENT PATRONAGE
Association of Professional Practising Artists ( APPA), Ondo State Chapter has inaugurated the new executive members that will pilot the affairs of the association for the next three years under the able leadership of King Adenuga popularly known as Elshaddai.
The inauguration of the new executive members of the association that held at Ondo State Senior Staff Club on 28th of October, 2021, attracted attention of dignitaries from all walks of life.
Chaìrman of the occasion, Chief Oyeyemi Adebowale, Akogun of Akure kingdom and Special Guest of Honour, Otunba Alaba Alabi Charles, State President of REMASSOS.
Speaking at the event, the President of Artisans in Ondo State, Comrade Daisi Komolafe commended the new President of APPA for his foresight towards the development of the association.
He called on all members of the association to give their leaders maximum support to enable them succeed.
While administering the Oath of Office on the new executive members, Barr. Lawrence Akomode applauded the cooperation and development that had taken place in the association in the past few years.
He equally admonished them to be focused and well positioned for benefits inherent in the business.
In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated President, King Adenuga popularly known as Elshaddai appreciated God for the success of the programme and founding fathers of the association for their unrelenting efforts and courage to stand with the association for the past 40 years.
King Adenuga promised on behalf of his team to ensure remarkable turnaround that will expose the beauty and glory of the profession globally.
He also used the medium to call on Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to use his good office in favour of members of the association by instructing heads of ministries and parastatals to patronise them instead of leaving them in Ondo State to patronise artists from other states.
He said within his three years tenure of office the association will have a well equipped State Administrative Office, landed property and commence the building of ARTIST HOUSE.
In the same way, he noted that his administration will build cordial relationship with Ondo State Government and support progressive governmental projections to enhance better living of all artists in the state.
Adenuga also pointed out as part of his vision for the association, there will be time to time digital arts seminars and workshops to enable members compete favourably with their counterparts all over the world.
He therefore charged members to support his team to enable them achieve the mission and aspirations for the association.
The new executive members are:King Adenuga Elshaddai, President, Olufemi Funmilayo (Femlaw), Vice president, Akosile Temitope (Akoshine), Secretary, Olakunmi Balogun (Kunts), Chief Whip and Obafemi Oluwarotimi (Destiny), PRO.
Others are Adejayi Akinsola Emmanuel, Treasurer, Oyewole Michael, Audior, Sajo Olatubosun, Financial Secretary, Michael Anuoluwapo and IB to J , Asst Secretary.
While speaking with journalists some of the executive members of the association promised to support the President, King Adenuga as he has prepared to take the association to the Promised Land.
According to them, “We happy to day for this type of elaborate inauguration. This association has been there for many years but we have not had so great like this before.
“We have to thank God greatly and we are using this medium to advise all our members to support us.”
As part of the highlights of the event was the award presentations to the founding fathers of the noble association.
